If you think that trailer looks good, you need to see more movies. Actual good ones.

Start with Pulp Fiction, or Taxi Driver.

okay seriously if those are the two your compairing this to you need to get a perspective. Mention xmen, spiderman, fantastic four to compair it to and no problem, but compairing a kids superhero movie to pulp fiction is like compairing Aliens with the rugrats movie. yeah their both movies...... and thats about as similar as they get.

If you read the post correctly you'll see that he's not comparing Pulp Fiction & Taxi Driver to Zoom, but is in fact suggesting that you watch them as an indication of what should be considered a good film.

Never, ever judge a movie based on the trailer. Lots of movies have GREAT trailers. Unfortunately, the trailer is basically a collection of the best moments of the movie. The rest is usually a bore or extremely subpar. I thought Just Friends was going to be a fantastic movie based on the trailer. Saw it, wasn't horrible, but wasn't impressed...

In short, don't just a book (movie) by it's cover (trailer).

Tim Allen, you need to find a good project fast. Your last 4 movies:

Christmas with the Kranks: 4.6/10
The Shaggy Dog: 3.5/10
Zoom: 1.8/10
The Santa Clause 3: 2.5/10

Tim, I really hope that In the Pink and Wild Hogs are going to be better, cuz ull need it to be.

Yeah, the last four Tim Allen movies sucked, which is a shame, because Santa Clause 1 was pretty good, and Home Improvement is a great show.

Also, though I haven't seen this movie, and I won't disagree with the fact that it probably eats balls, it CAN'T be worse than some of the things on the bottom 100, like Baby Geniuses 2.

Tim Allen actually has quite a good flair for comedy, with great timing.
It's a shame people can't appreciate people who are good at that.

Tim Allen was good in this movie, but this movie wasn't good. I don't think it's the worst of 2006, but still not as good as I'd have liked it to be. I rated it a 4 myself.

I very much agree. The Departed had a terrible trailor but that movie was very good.

i saw this movie on a plane and yeah it was cringeworthy and it sucked but its a dumb movie for little kids, and they should love seeing crude slapstick humour. they are the target audience, not you guys, however old you are, unless you are a little kid that is. so give it a break.

and also santa with muscles stars hulk hogan. enough said.

There are over 200 votes with this movie being 10/10, but much more at 1/10... with a few votes in between.

So for some people, this movie is a measure of excellence. This is the movie that all others should aspire to in quality... (yeah, sure...)

Take the 1.8 rating with a grain of salt. (It's on the Internet...)

Doesnt matter the advice was unwarranted and out of context. The discussion was this kids film and that the trailer didnt look 'that bad'. The advice to see Pulp Fiction etc was rude and irrelevant to subject at hand.
