Mega-Boy: The BIGGEST flaw

Hands down, the movie really sucked. There is so much wrong with it, but to me %70 of what made this movie unbearable was Tucker, the incredibly fat guy. The other heros where at least semi-serious heros. There was Dylan and Summer who worked well and Cindy added cute. All that Tucker added to the picture was some lame fart jokes and in my opinion fart jokes arn't funny after the age of 10 and if they are your either from Texas or a redneck. If your offended, sorry. I'm from Texas and my dad thinks that crap is so funny and it's not. I think the movie could have been at least mediocre.

I agree with you. I think his character was TERRIBLE. His powers were rediculous and when they came up with his name, "Mega-Boy," I wanted to repeatedly slap the writers for that lame @$$, uncreative name. And when he screams "its a SECRET electrical panel!"...I can't even tell you how fast I reached for that controller. Its so obvious he's not even a fat kid, its such a fake look that it just takes you out of the scene when you see him.

If it weren't for that character, I really would have enjoyed this movie. He and his character definately brought it down for me. If "Mega-Boy" wasn't there, I would have given this at least a solid 5; enjoyable. Instead, it drops to a 2. Just barely above the mess that is "3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain."

Yes, his power was ridiculous.
Every time I watch the movie I want to hit him when he screams out "IT'S A SECRET ELECTRIC PANEL". When nobody in the movie jumps on him for saying it so loud, I don't think they've quite become the family unit they think they are.

The kid (Tucker, as played by Breslin..) used to be on the heavy side.

I don't remember any farts jokes in the movie.., but I do agree that the character of "Mega-Boy" was lame.
My guess is that somewhere in the writing process, the writer(s) had an idea for the character, but dropped it and left him in.
I'm not from Texas, or a redneck, but when it's placed in the movies just right, a fart joke can be hilarious! (i.e.: SuperHero Movie - SUCKED big time! - the fart joke had me laughing SO hard, the only other person in the theater shushed me.)

If the movie did better, and they made a sequel, I am sure they would have made better use of Tucker's ability.

Xmen had the Blob, I know he was not a hero but he was a character with Super Powers. I think they had him in there because out of all the kids that wanted to be superheroes wouldn't it mostly be overweight kids?
