Deserves Better Than A 5.6!

Now as a military veteran I'm partial to any movie dealing with the
US Navy so I honestly think that "Stealth" was more worthy than
the low 5.6 rating given by viewers. I gave it a "6" and find this
movie quite entertaining and well acted plus the outdoor scenes
filmed onboard the USS Abraham Lincoln added a touch of realism
to the storyline as well. Plus I like all three of the leads
and Jamie Foxx, Josh Lucas & Jessica Biel were all believable
in their roles as jet fighter pilots. And was surprised that it
didn't do very well during the summer of 2005 and it obviously
had a lot of box office competition that year.

I agree with your points about the aircraft carriers and the scenes in the cockpits as you suggest, looked very believable. I'll also toss in my opinion that the special effects were very good.

But I'd venture that a story involving three pilots flying around the sky continually bickering with a plane - hijacking computer, didn't sit well with the masses.

BTW, it's still at 4.9.

The characters were all very hard to like in my opinion. Also the plot, even for science fiction, was incredibly hard to believe. Not to mention that most of the actors didn't even look like they wanted to be there.

This film deserves lower.

I agree. The action sequences are some of the best aircraft scenes I've ever seen and totally rewatchable. I also think all of the main characters did a very good job. This movie is good all the way up to the point where Jessica Biel lands on foot in the forrest.
