I watched this movie.. and there is like 2 endings to it..
I dont get either of them lol
The 1st one she is in a mental instition ( which i think is the main ending )
Was charlie all made up ?? or had she gone mad cause her parents were dead?
And the 2nd ending i saw was she was drawing pictures before she went to school..
and she drew to heads on her own body..
I dont get that ending at all lol

actually it had 5 endings, the one where she's drawing two heads is the original one and there are +4 alternate endings:
1. she draws only one head - happy ending.
2. she goes to bed in famke jansen's character's house, then wakes up and starts playing hide and seek, opens the closet, see's her own reflection and says "there you are".
3. she goes to bed, asks Famke not to close the door, to which she responds "honey, you know i can't do that". the door is shut and we see it was the door in a mental house. then Famke says to the doctor "i will take her to my place in a week". emily wakes up and starts playing hide and seek, opens the closet, see's her own reflection and says "there you are".
4. she goes to bed, asks Famke not to close the door, to which she responds "honey, you know i can't do that". the door is shut and we see it was the door in a mental house. then Famke says to the doctor "i won't give up on her". emily wakes up and starts playing hide and seek, opens the closet, see's her own reflection and says "there you are".
also there were lots of deleted scenes. like when Elizabeth starts kissing David and Emily sees them and runs away. that's what Elizabeth was talking about the other day, before getting killed.
I watched it on television today, and it got a different ending:
*She lays in bed and asks Famke not to close the door, to which she responds "honey, you know I can't do that". The door is shut and we see it was the door in a mental house. Then Famke says "I won't give up on her".* The end. (That's it. Nothing more.)
Me, my younger brother and my mother didn't get it at all. Seemed pointless and felt it would've been better if they had just ended it when her father got shot.
Basically, what happens is,
1. In the hostpital ending it shows that she is awaiting valuation to see if she has a split personality. She then walks to the cupboard, yes? Playing Hide and Seek. This shows she is now Charlie.
2. In the drawing it shows that she knows she has a split personality. It shows her with two heads. This means that she has two sides to her and she is now Charlie.
I saw this movie on TV yesterday, and she was in a mental hospital, going to bed. She asks if her psychologist can close the door, but she replies that she can't. I didn't see the whole credits, so I didn't see the mirror scene, but I got the impression she is at the same place where her dad is.
shareThis was probaly the same version I saw. It had ending 4 but WITHOUT the mirror scene. The last thing I saw was when the doctor said: "I won't give up on her". So, of course, I didn't understand it at all.

I found this movie so interesting....
The ending I saw (which was on FX channel 10/12 around 8-9 in the morning) was when the little girl was at home with the woman that shot her dad, drawing pictures on the kitchen table. Her body had two heads on it, obviously meaning she has two personalitys like her dad. I wonder what her name will be? (The other person in her body)Honestly, after this scene the whole movie began to make sense to me, because let's face it, THE GIRL WAS FREAKIN' WEIRD!! Her dad is asking who's doing this and she says, charlie did it, as if she didn't see her own daddy doing all of this stupid sh*t. It had to be her other personality when charlie was around. And how about at the end of the movie when the woman gets killed, all of a sudden, now the little girl wants behave normally and get scared and want her daddy and everything. Her behavior really through me off.
