This is much better than Cape fear
I don't get the hate...
Every movie cannot be new in theme, story, cliche or whatever..
De Niro's performance was convincing throughout. Might've been better if he had a background history of trauma other than killing his wife to be more believable..
The story was weak.. But the actings were top notch... De niro just acted naturally and Dakota stole the show...
If this movie was made in say 70's or 80's , I think it'll be a cult classic easily.
