I hate when they're not thankful ( lady with the big red couch

Im sorry I dont remember the familys name in this particular ep.
It was the lady who lived with her 21 year old son who still had all his toys (his pride and joy was his ventriliquist dummy)
They were getting rid of stuff for the sale and she INSISTED on getting rid of her big red couch. The people from CLEAN HOUSE said they thought the couch was still good and they could "make it work" with the new room. She said no, get rid of it. They then told her they probably wouldnt have enough in their budget to replace it and then she would have NO couch at all. She didnt care. Insisted they sell it.

So at the end -they ended up short money. And so: no couch. Now the woman- who had been pretty happy for all the "reveals" - was pissd when she saw the living room had no couch. She stormed off the set leaving the CLEAN HOUSE crew with their jaws hanging to the ground in shock.

Her SON did The Right Thing and thanked the crew and praised the rooms they had fixed up one last time.

Now the whole opening of the show was about how THE SON was so immature! And yet at the end it was MOM actin like a Big Baby!

And please.....you cant have EVERYTHING handed to you! Go out and buy your cheap ass a new couch!

ITA.Ingratitude is one of my pet peeves and I've been astounded at the number of people that have been on this show and show little or no thanks for all that was done for them. What is the matter with these people?!I would be on my hands and knees if someone would just come and help me clear out for a paint job!

reply

I think deep down Im jealous of these people! I usually love the make overs they do. Im a very clean person so I shall never be rewarded with this treatment! And thats why I at least like to see the family happy at the end of the show! If someones rewarding you for being a filthy pig you should be HAPPY, damn it!

I cant stand when they complain about moinor stuff like "i dont like the color they painted my room". Its like they cant buy a new can of paint! So their not just dirty..they're cheap too!

I watched one yesterday where the family were very grateful and happy at the end and I actually got a tear in my eye. They SHOULD be pleased, they get all that free help, work done on their house, some new stuff AND that day they get to hang out at the hotel!

loved the one where the guy said, "why would you think i would like that ugly mirror on the wall?" and it was his mirror that they got from one of his rooms! stupid people

reply

LOL! I dont remember that one!

I 'love' when the whole room looks amazing and then they show footage of the persn scrounging around like a raccoon looking for their old beer can collection or a purse they had from 1985 or something stupid like that...and then they imply they would take back the mess just to have that one random piece of crap item back!

I remember that eppy! That was the one with the guy who had a performing name! It cracked me up when he said that!

I can only please one person per day. Today isn't your day...and tomorrow don't look good either.

That was the McCoy episode...with mom Angie (I think?) and son Tay. Yea her immaturity was beyond silly!

I remember that episode. They addressed it in an episode of Clean House Comes Clean. In the footage they implied that she wasn't upset solely b/c of the lack of a couch but because of something her son got in trouble for. At that point she had all that she could take from him.

I actually didn't blame her one bit for being upset. They sold the couch at the garage sale for almost $500. Where did that $500 go? Why wasn't it spent on a new couch? It's incredibly easy to find a comfortable, nice couch for less than $500 and she didn't want a big one, anyway. The designer wanted to keep the couch, which would have meant $500 LESS in their budget, and he was going to work with that. So what exactly did they spend it on?

Not to mention they bought her ungrateful, childish son a brand spankin' new Macbook so he would stop using her laptop. Why didn't they buy HER the new laptop and just give him the old one??! Instead, he gets a new laptop, and she's left without a couch.

She had every right to be mad. They effed up her living room.

Im sure they were more than happy to provide that wench with an itemized list of the cost and products. old bag wanted her couch gone and she got her wish, didnt want her son using her laptop and she got her wish there too.
shoooot i bet that was you on that episode, the only comment up in this place defending that old hag

Actually, it came out on Clean House comes clean, that she was mad at her son due to them doing all of this for them and while they were at the hotel the son had put over 1000 Dollars in extras at the hotel expecting Clean House to pick up the tab, but she was going to have to pay it. She payed it and then seeing the living room where she used to let her son sleep because he broke his bed (due to having "adult relationships" in it), caused her to break down. She thought taking away comfort would change her son, but it didn't.
