Best chase scene ever

The opening sequence has to be one of my favorite of any movie, the whole thing is badass, and when he actually kills some MFer's I was so psyched to see the new Bond wasn't going to be pussy footing around everywhere and missing every shot.

Agreed.

reply

Yes it seems that most people in James Bond movies went to the Stormtrooper Shooting school.

reply

It felt too staged to me

reply

I'm curious what you mean by staged. Like it was all too convenient how Bond was able to catch up to the guy?

I sort of agree in some parts, such as when the parkour guy tries to shoot Bond only to find his pistol has conveniently run out of bullets!

reply

Yes, he just stands there letting himself be shot... it just looks like they're trying to show how tough Craig is, the action looks even more fake when they're trying for this serious thing in other parts of the film, imo

reply

And not a single smarmy one-liner. Hooray!

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

reply

I think it has to be .... for me anyway.

The music, the cinematography, stunts ....

Superb.

Whatever DC does now as Bond will never top this opening scene.

reply

Wasn't believable

reply

Awww, FutureVessell thinks it's not believable. He goes to the big screen and media to look for reality. Pathetic lol

Why do you wimps always cry about *beep* not being real in movies when everything on the TV is fictional.

I'm watching the movie on Ion right now. It's been ten years. That opening chase scene is far and away still the most amazing piece of that style of action i've ever seen done. For all the Bournes and Mission Impossibles and Bonds and you name it to follow, it has never been topped. It's unreal. I don't think it will ever be topped.

reply

I've always liked the opening chase scene. But let us not forget the Miami airport chase scene.

reply

Agreed. Best foot chase ever filmed.

reply

It's tops.

reply

I still think the best chase scenes ever are from The Dukes of Hazzard TV show between the boys and Roscoe
