One of the most shallow films I have ever seen...

This film is an awful testament to what teenage girls want to see. I watched it with my sister and couldn't believe her admiration -

the daughter is a spoilt diva. And she never gets disciplined. But the film projects the idea all girls should be like this if they are attractive and want a guy....wtf!?

Not to mention the mum..what was so wrong with the concert guy? He was well meaning and had a good heart, and they just ridiculed him. The women come across as self-obsessed and cruel. And the film lauds them for it.

How can anyone rate a film highly for that? 1/10

I totally agree. I thought this movie had an absolutely awful message. And they just toss aside the concert guy (O'Malley) without a care in the world. Imagine how devastated he would have been. Oh he likes Styxx. What a loser. So let's just treat him like total crap. And Hillary was such a terrible brat and never gets seriously called on her BS. I couldn't believe we were actually supposed to be rooting for these people.

Yes it's like Twilight.

Actually I think it was a Styx tribute band he took her to see, after he had previously said "I have tickets to STYX" but yeah, it's a dumb movie lol

But the lead singer of the Styx tribute band was Dennis DeYoung, the original leader of Styx. So they really weren't all that bad.

"She's, like, a biscuit older than me..."
