The Baker Dude Lenny Was Such A Dweeb!

I watched this movie again on TBS and overall it was not
too bad. A bit predictable though harmless entertainment.
I must comment that the character of Lenny the baker
was such a huge dweeb! He was all wrong for Jean and
she felt really awful vibes on their first date. Now
I love 80's pop culture as much as anybody else who
lived through the era. Though am not obsessed with
it. I love the music and movies of the period though
Lenny's persona was so obsessed with the music of
Styx and I happen to like the band's music as well.
Lenny is a fine example of another dweeb who was
obsessed with the pop culture of another bygone era!
Just my opinion.

Now, I thought he was sweet, just trying too hard with a gal that wasn't his type. There are women that would like him a lot. Maybe I liked Lenny because of his kind portrayal as Kurt's Dad in "Glee."

Every time I watch WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING and Joe Jr says "like you just seen your first TransAm" I always think of Lenny in this movie, like how he made her take her shoes off before getting into his precious TransAm. Lenny and Joe Jr are a lot alike!
