WORST SKIT

the absolute worse was the one w/the mexican waiter. It was funny when he poured her coffee and she didn't want any. Then the first time she covered her cup w/her hand when he came back was funny. But then it was just retarded. What was the point of watching the woman sit there and read a gun magazine while the waiter just kept coming over saying stupid s***.

I have to say the shots in this one were beautiful, though. Just a bit of her striped-stocking knee in the top left and a bit of her bouffant at the bottom of the frame ... masterful.

reply

Agreed, this was, in my opinion, the most beautiful of the vignettes.

AHHHHHH THAT IS BECAUSE YOUR ALL STONED FOOLS! YOU HAVE TO BE IN ORDER TO LIKE SOME GARBAGE LIKE THIS AND THINK THAT IT IS ACTUALLY FUNNY

"Those Things'll Kill Ya" was the one I disliked the most. The non-smoking man's voice was annoying and the kid too.

I can't believe how said you are... you've clearly not got the brains to get the humour in this film... fair enough... who am I to look down on that?

What I do find pathetic is that you come here simply to troll people who got the film.

I liked this one. It was a good performance and funny watching how uncomfortable and nervous he was.

"I thought that you might know some one called... um... sorry... :(" :D

that was my second favorite!

it was so gorgeous
and i found it amusing how he kept trying to hit on her.

reply

Exactly, that was the thing. He tried to hit on her, but he was so nervous all he could come up with was excuses, or asking if she would like a sandwich etc.

I found it funny, also because she was soo openly covering her coffee cup, like it was the world to her that it had the right temperature and amount of milk. She has found the exact way she liked her coffee. And the movie itself was about those small things I feel.

Last thing I liked about it was the way the shots were executed. Every time we went out from a closeup to a total, we understood that the waiter was coming back. So just to see the total made me feel the embarassment creeping back in.

I don't think it was the best short, but it was most certainly not the worst.

reply

the worst was easily the Steven Wright segment...felt contrived, forced, and poorly acted

The White Stipes part was really boring and pointless.

"Be it a grain of sand or rock, in water they sink as the same."

I wonder how the *beep* the OP knows the waiter was mexican? As far as I know he could have been cuban, puerto rican, dominican, colombian, hondurean, even southern european (andalusian, sicilian, portuguese), turkish, middle eartern or northern african, etc. Besides I wonder if the suppossed ethnicity of the waiter is relevant at all.
Apparently for She/He (OP) it is.

Frankly there are people who never should watch anything else but stupid summer blockbusters. Those are the films they deserve. Tailor made for their microscopic IQ.
