What really irritated me.

How incredibly moronic, superficial and petty High schoolers act. Really? Making a girls life miserable over a party. A party that won't matter in a month anyway. Nor into their adult lives and they won't even remember most things anyway from school anyway. I lost IQ points watching those scenes.
So realistic it was scary.

AND, the fact that a Teacher would use a curse word toward a student? Unacceptable. Neck was a huge prick.

I suppose those things struck a chord with me because it was so similar to my HS days.

Ikr, but thinking back, when I was in first year a lot of girls hated one of my friends for years because she wrote something stupid about me fancying some guy when I didn't want him to know. Girls are incredibly immature at the age.

My high school isn't like that. But I'm guessing since it was a big city in the movie and i'm not in a big city. And i will never understand that either. If someone ruined my party i'd be kinda mad. But i won't treat the person like they murdered someone I care about, plus, it was the stupid teen's faults for bringing drinks and doing crazy stuff when told over a hundred times its wrong. Having fun and doing something wrong is a completely different story. But i would never treat anyone like her. I guess it's only in movies that you see people act like that, but if your HS days were like that then i'm really sorry, at least you got it out the way!

You have to remember that High School kids for the most part are really immature and think the stupidest things in the world are the most important things. That was probably the last big party before school started and when Melinda called the police, people got arrested and lost their jobs because of it. They all thought Melinda called the police just to get everyone in trouble.

One thing I didn't understand is how nearly everyone hated her for it. Literally the only people who would even look at her were the annoying girl, Heather, and Dave Petrakis. I doubt everyone in that school went to that one party, I just didn't understand how pretty much everywhere Melinda went, people would give her death glares.
