Minor thing that always bothers me

The editing choice when we find out Elle killed Pai Mei.

"I killed that miserable old fool"
"How do you like the fish heads, miserable old fool"
"I poisoned his fish heads."

Just seems so clunky. I don't know if its the editing, or the writing, or the line delivery, or the odd timing of each line of dialogue.
I feel like the dialogue in the flashback portion is completely unnecessary. Maybe just keep in the part where she audibly laughs at him.

I know its a small thing, but it something I notice every time

I think Daryl Hannah's delivery is a bit cringy. I find it odd that Pai would trust Elle after ripping her eye out.

It's deliberately clunky so it has rhythms reminiscent of old kung fu movies. That's just my theory. But even parts like the overly-melodramatic way Elle says, "I killed your master!" sounds like it's right out of Hong Kong '70s cinema. Evocation of this kind of film - not to mention Westerns and samurai movies - is part of the charm and style of the Kill Bill flicks.
