God, this is the scariest movie I have seen since The Ring! I screamed bloody murder at the sight of the demon children and their stretched out faces! This movie is so bloody freaky, and keeps you on your seat the entire time. I jumped out of my skin every ten seconds!!!

Scary as hell? Please. They should have done this movie twice as better. It had some jumpy monments and that's it. The scary part was when their faces turn into those demons, that's it. Some say it's better then the RING and GRUDGE, please! This the storyline of this movie sucked! Like I said the only thing kept it going was those demon faces. It's only good for rent that's it. If you wanna buy, it's a waste of money spending $19 dollars on it. I rather spend 19 dollars on bootleg dvd's first before i buy this. I'm glad i rent it first.

well u can say it was cheap scares, it was a bad film which could have been better but i think think this is brilliant. the story was good, the film scared the *beep* outta me eventhough its fake, a movie can still scare you. what i really loved about dead birds is the whole film relied on sound and sound is what makes the film. i also recommend dead end, malevolence, and love object if you like this film.
As I stated before: This movies better than the AMERICAN version of the Grudge. Not the import. The ring was better than this however. I dont think anyone can deny that.
And btw, imo, the story is where this movie fell down. It wasnt too clear while watching it. It needs a reflection or second watch to take it all in. The cinematography and direction was superb. The acting was decent. The weak link here is the story, which should have been fleched out a bit more to be considered a success. Again, just my opinion.
Amongst all the hollywood crap that is released week after week, I strongly recommend this film to everyone. No CGI special effects but rather going back to the basics seen in old 80's horror films. Decent script and acting for a straight to video feature. If there was an award show given to straight to video movies, Deadbirds would be nominated if not win several awards. I can't imagine why it did not get some ditribution in theatres. Worth renting, worth buying, worth seeing a second time.
