Tell Your funny Dead Birds story

mine is:
about 2 or 3 years ago at my mates 14th birthday about 12 of us went over to her house for a sleepover and she asked her dad to run up to the dvd shop to get some dvds for us. me and 2 of the girls were with her dad and we asked him to find us a scary movie for when it got late. turns out that he picked up the movie dead birds. being the pothead he is we didnt think much of a movie with the title dead birds and just laughed it off. once it got to about 11pm we decided to put it on, the were all bored by the first 10 - 15 mins so we decided to have a chat and put it on in the background. one or two kept watching and the rest of us just kept chatting away. for some reason we all started looking at the screen when the guy was settling into his room or whatever (its been a long time) and all of a sudden that face appeared under the bed, all 12 of us screamed our asses off and i dont think any of us really slept the whole night thats how much is scared us. i specifically remember not wanting to go into the kitchen because i thought id see the face in the fridge. its so funny thinking back, it was probably one of the movies that influenced my obsession with horror movies. =) whats your funny story watching dead birds ?

uhh i was doing the 40hour famine no sleep to support kids in africa, so you give up something for 40hours, school thing while donating money (dont ask why) and me and my 3 mates so 4 of us decided to doit together so less boring. we rented out a bunch of horrors to keep us up for the night. first we watched chucky, jeez what a mistake lol horrible, then saw 4 that was awesome movie since i had seen 1,2,3 and been waiting for this, finally we get up to dead birds like you, we sorta thought it was a joke cause of the movie name but i was obsessed wit the cover looking face and knew it would bring some frights. so were into the movie, intro sucked first 30mins of movie i was falling asleep (also 4am in the morning) but as soon as it got to the demonic kids esp the dude under the bed, sh** got better! one of my friends was using the sheets getting ready to cover his head everytime a scary bit came out, lmao. but this movie was dam scary, the part were it shows the story of why these kids are looking like this with all the flashbacks made my night i wasnt goin to sleep for 40hours+ lol.

Rented this film through Blockbuster online a good 4 years ago. It was one of those "you may like this" movie recommendations so I figured eh, why not? I took it over to my GF's place cause she is a horror fan too and we watched it together that night. We were used to seeing laughable horror movies by this point and expected this movie to be more of the same. By the time they were in the house and saw that freaky kid under the bed I started feeling really creeped out. I turn to my GF and she looked scared too. That is when we both said at the same time, "this movie is kind of creepy." Ends up we both liked the movie so much we ended up buying it off Amazon to watch again.

It's not really a funny story, just the story of how I ended up watching this movie. I work at a video store and like to watch movies with silly/stupid looking covers, and I thought this one had a really silly cover, the cheesy toothy monster and all. So I took it home, fell asleep over it 'cause the first few scenes are too boring. The next night I watched it full and well, like many here, couldn't sleep at all. But damn, Henry Thomas and Patrick Fugit looked hot in this.

I got the crazies.

My Funny story: I've had it for a month and haven't finished it.

I always watch the first 20 minutes then have to leave. Then sometimes I'll get up until the proverbial feces hits the fan, and I find I'm not in the mood to periodically jump and play with my computer's volume. I hope to finish it tonight finally.

edit: August 28th 2011. Havent finished it.
edit: November 2nd, haven't finished it. :D
