Where was this movie filmed?

I for one thought it was very good, so good in fact I bought it on DVD. Well anyway, I was watching the extras and they said that the film set was used to make another movie and all they had to do was to rent it and add a few designs. My question is what movie was this film set used before this movie?

I also think that this movie would make a nice sequel, maybe set it in the present. Maybe someone inherits the plantation, or the government sells the farm or maybe an organization wants to study the effects of the supernatural events on human test subjects; also try making the special effects more "A" film material.

The movie was filmed outside of Mobile,AL. I live fifty miles from Mobile right at the Alabama-Florida state line.

Somewhere in Mobile County. I don't know the exact spot.

The set they used for Fairhope was from Big Fish outside of tuscaloosa Al. And I believe the home is in eight mile, Al. Hope that helps.

First of all, that was a farm not a plantation. But I agree that they should make a sequel. A bunch of rum-runners in the twenties should find the house, it would kind of keep with the outlaw theme from the first movie.

The town/bank scene was from Big Fish. I don't know where the farm house was, or just a set. Would love to find out though.

The house is Kali-Oka Rd. plantation in Kushla/Saraland, Alabama. A friend of my husband bought the property to restore. He died working on the house. Try looking it up on internet, it has a reputation for being very haunted.
