STUPIDEST TITLE FOR A DECENT HORROR MOVIE

This is one of the most idiotic titles and perfect examples of poor marketing that I've seen in the film industry. It has NO relation to this well-acted and decent horror movie whatsoever. Those of you who posted attempted explanations for the title are obviously desperate douche bags who seem to think that they are so "in touch" with the film makers' vision for the film. Bollocks. It's just a ridiculous name for a decent horror film that suffered financially because of a *beep* title.

Well one of the guys did said he stepped on a dead bird.....
Other than that i agree, the title here sucked.

The title and the marketing hyped it (probably not a good word) to be a trashy poorly done run-of-the-mill horror.
But I'm astonished with the production values...by all means it should fail, but the atmosphere is great, the music is decent, acting suffices, and the cinematography is to my liking. Not bad, so far, compared to what I was expected.

Good point - I have actually passed on this movie several times at the video store, based on the hideous cover & title. In spite of the synopsis on the back, I assumed it was similar to Kaw, which I loathed (along with pretty much everything they show on the sci-fi channel).

Now that I've read some reviews, I'm excited to watch it, though!

in truth there is a dead bird in the film plus it is an old west name for sitting ducks which I believe sums up their plight nicely?

I think you may have a point. I watched it the first time on HBO India when I had nothing better to do with very low expectations and found it quite good. I am reminded because this is on HBO India today and nobody's giving it any footage, (if you know what I mean).

Yeah not the best title choice but I don't care much.

agreed - the cover doesnt even give any idea of the setting (almost unique in horror) nd the title ? wtf?

this is one of the best cases of "you cannot judge a book by its cover"

The title was the best thing about this movie.
