Good question- read this.
I love this show, but in reality, how many bodies can one find in the bottom of gardens? Two or three at the most, surely.

That is a cute comment! I too have thought, boy wherever these gals go a body or two turn up dead. ALAS, it is a show steeped in flowers & murder ~ All the best!
shareThink about shows like Murder She Wrote. Same thing: wherever Jessica Fletcher went in the world someone got killed! That show went on for years...
shareThe same can be said about most mystery series. "Aunt Jane's coming to visit." "Quick - call the undertakers and put them on alert, call the vicarage and book the chapel for next Saturday - wherever Marple goes, murder follows" You watch it or read it and there's a little willfull suspension of disbelief because you enjoy the characters and the plot twist.
shareThere was a comment in The Archers years ago about Oxford. Oh, you don't want to go there, what about all the murders (Inspector Morse).
I must say I didn't like thi sprogramme until there was a weekend of Rosemary and Thyme on ITV2(?) and I realise how good it was and how ridiculous the premise was. But it still works!
so with all these old dear's going on country visit's in idealic setting's, we'd be safer in da hood surrounded by pimps, crack whores and gang bangers.
wouldnt it be brilliant if quentin tarentino did a film with rosemary&thyme, jessica fletcher and miss marple ?
if those 4 showed up i'd rather move out and set up stall at a gay pride rally trying too recruit for the kkk, with my stall set next door too nation of islam recruiting booth. think i'd have a better chance of surviving.
Trouble do seem to follow them, but if it didn't, as my old grandmother used to say, "It wouldn't be a picture."
shareAnd like Miss Marple, they are nosey old busybodies. Who would discuss changing their will with their gardener who has only worked there for a day?
And when do they actually do any work?
