Laura Thyme/ Ms. Trunchbull

Pam Ferris is such a great actor. I've been a fan of R&T for some time now (no pun intended) and recently saw her in "Matilda". I thought she brought so much to that film. Her performance as the wicked headmistress was the best aspect of "Matilda", IMO.
Just wanted to lavish praise on a great artist.

You want to talk "total transformation"?

She also played Aunt Marge in HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN" - The one that harry "inflated" at the top of the film. God God, that was fantastic makeup.

The only thing worse than a bad movie, is someone who states their Opinion as Fact.

I didn't realize that was her until I saw an interview. Amazing makeup.

Pam Ferris also had a pretty large role in "Children of Men" along side Clive Owen.

I'm watching "Rosemary & Thyme" right now, and I totally CAN NOT see the Trunchbull when I look at Pam Ferris's face! I've seen "Matilda" like a hundred times. Pam looks SO different, I would never have believed it was the same actress! Felicity looks great, too, by the way.

I completely agree with you galliard. Pam does look completely different playing Laura than when she played Miss Trunchball. I've seen Matilda loads of times, I love the movie you see and I am 17, and she looks so different here.
