Hope you`re awake by now!
That episode was partially excellent and partially ridiculous. The baby parts were unbelievable in the extreme.
The mother was the house maid, the father, the painter who was caught in the woods with Penelope.
There was never an explanation of why Mum dumped the baby there, or later, why she stole him back from Laura, or why she then let Laura and Rosemary see that she was the proud mama. Rather slipshod, I`d say!
In between her maternal oddities, viewers had a chance to view (indeed, Lucy and Ethel) in their bumbling interactions with the probably very confused babe; especially when Rosemary gently laid him down in the truck, cooed a few words, and tucked a GUN in beside him!
The best part of this episode was the two sisters fighting posthumously over the murdered painter, and Rosemary`s efforts to intervene.
