shareThe french have always been comeing up with delicious and wonderful ways to utilize the croissant.The dessert looked like an open faced croissant with strawberry perserves. I have inclosed a few of these delicious creation with whipped cream. They seem to be all over the internet. Im thinking the key is the basic croissant dough, then just add what fruit jams you want.

The only problem with having an open mind is that others keep trying to put things in it...
Except that what you've posted a recipe for isn't what was shown on the program.

To me they look pretty much like croissants that have been sliced open and had raspberries with glaze added to the tops. When Rosemary took a bite, it didn't look like there was any kind of a cream (or Crème fraîche) filling.
I think the writers could have "halfed" those pastry references; the matter was over cooked to the point of being most irritating! I counted 5 different times Laura interrupted the flow of action to mention those blasted goodies!
Enough, I say!
So true! Her harping on those blasted pasteries really got irritating! Misery loves company; thanks for airing the same frustration.
