How many bodies can they possibly find?

I love the show but really, how many dead bodies can a couple of landscapers happen to come across in a garden? In real life they'd be investigated as the prime suspects after the second body LOL

I for one would would be reluctant hiring these two women, people end up dead when they do their landscaping jobs.

That was the first thing my mother said when I showed this to her!

I've thought the same thing many times.

"Get yourself a Glock and lose that nickel-plated sissy pistol."

That very thought occurred to me about half way through the second season.

And I too also thought, like the other poster said, not sure I'd want
to be around these ladies for long....might just end up dead too ;o)

Same with Miss Marple and Jessica Fletcher... basically wherever they go, someone dies!

reply

Ditto! Rosemary and Thyme need to find bodies for the show to work. ;-)

So true, it would be suspicious

There is a difference in how the four ladies work.

Miss Marple either stumbles over a murder, or people bring/send her to the scene of the crime. (Her nephew Raymond is a prime example for sending.) Jessica seems to live in the murder capital of America-- Cabot Falls. Rosemary and Laura, on the other hand, usually have to dig up the murders they solve.

lol

Personally, I was hoping that the 3-legged dog would be given a spinoff series. One format could be each episode featuring a different super sleuth (Poirot, Marple, etc.) solving the murder of a new master with pooch critical in assisting by digging up clues and finding more bodies under bushes. It would all be done tongue in jowl.

Zee important theeng, my dear, eez for us not to hurry.

I enjoyed the series due to the acting of Felicity Kendal and Pam Ferris, but a lot of the writing left a lot to be desired in my view.

It would have been slightly more realistic if not every episode contained multiple murders, there are so many other crimes that could have taken centre stage.

And another thing that seemed more than improbable, the number of people who were willing to answer their questions, as if they were police officers.

reply

Bet they were not murder victims but in reality people who were forced to watch this god awful programme.
Those poor souls found highly inventive was to top themselves rather than view this rubbish.
It was at best a one programme not three oh god three puerile slop series
