Bully or emotionally challenged

The theme or plot of this movie was supposed to be revenge on a big bully..
What I got out of this film was a seriously emotionally challenged teenager..
The difference could not be more obvious
A bully physically and emotionally beats down kids for his own pleasure and to build up his own self esteem..
George was clearly mentally disturbed with his emotions all over the place from sweet and caring to down right nasty..
I think they should change the plot synopsis as it's kind of misleading..
A aggravating film but well done

He's obviously got some emotional issues, but emotional instability and bullying are not mutually exclusive. It did seem to me that most of the kids realized he really wasn't all that bad...just odd, lonely, and very socially awkward with a mean streak when angered.

I feel like if they had just been nice to him on the boat trip maybe George would have changed, since he felt like he was included in something.

Maybe but remember, sometimes he was teasing everyone on the boat and he wasn't really nice. I think that he was emotionally fragile and maybe weak and he could snap very easily. It was not a win-win situation. George was waiting for his time to come as he explains in his homemade video k7; he was probably a dreamer, somehow disconnected from reality and full of delusions.

The way he acted was very similar to my grandmother, who has a chemical imbalance in her brain. Totally sweet and innocent one minute, raging psychopath the next.

Most if not all bullies fit both of your descriptions.
