I don't get marty.

I mean what does Marty have to gain by humiliating George so much?Sams older brother and the others wanted to call if off when they managed to forgive him when they realized how nice George was.And after George drowned Marty wanted to bury the body to cover it up,why? Sure you plotted to pull a humiliating prank on the poor kid after he beat Sam up but the end result was totally unintended and they wouldn't have gotten into a lot of legal trouble for it if you think about it.But no he takes his brothers gun and robs a gas station and now has to live the rest of his life running from the law.

I felt like he did it because he was bullied by his brother

That scene where he goes into the gas station actually makes me cry. He felt he had no choice. I also don't think he was exactly a stranger to the law. He didn't believe anyone would believe it was an accident. They would have thought it was intentional. He was the oldest and would have received the harshest punishment, and more than likely spend some time in jail. This was all he thought. He was young and his mind wasn't fully developed. He freaked. And in turn he will probably be on the run the rest of his life and/or get shot. It was sad. To me, his decision was sadder than the accident that caused it.

I think Marty considered Rocky and Sam his brothers because his own family was so screwed up so he felt protective of them. He also hated George because he was spoiled and Marty didn't have much. In a nutshell, Marty was just an angry person that felt like it was him against the world.
