... yell at the gang? SAM and MARTY said very clearly that everyone except MARTY liked him. Isn't that enough?

I don't necessarily agree with the fact that they said they started to like him. Yes, at times he did seem fairly nice but he did have his moments when he called people names and was being a bully, mainly to Clyde. But I agree I don't why he started to attack everybody when they clearly stated they had changed their minds about the plan.

Oh, no, you're right. They didn't really like him (he said it to make GEORGE feel better) because he constantly went from nice to mean. But GEORGE didn't know that, which is why I asked.

I think quite simply he had mental issues and had problems being in control of his emotions. A normal person would have just asked to be brought back home this instant, but Gorge snapped because he wasn't 'normal'.
