So I just finished watching the movie, I have to say that I loved it. They soft spokeness at the end gave me chills. It was wrapped up nice but lacked some parts where in "real life" could have been avoided. How do you guys think Millie and Sam would work out in the end? What happened to Marty? Let's think about the after effects of all the characters and discuss them.
Sam and Millie - I don't think they would have been charged, as for their relationship I was fairly sure before the end of the film that she would never talk to him again but I think she would understand that it was not his fault at all really. Though once she let him in her room I felt she still had feelings for him she was just engulfed with guilt and grief. I think they may have been weird around each other for a while but eventually in the end I think it would bring them closer together.
It would be really unfair for her to blame him. He did call of the plan and it wasn't his idea to bury him. He allowed it because he didn't have a better idea, but so did she.
Could someone please help me understand how Rocky was out of control?
The video at the end was heart-breaking. Yes, he was a bully but no way did he deserve to die. Not saying it justifies being a bully but he was alone and had issues people weren't aware of. Also, the part at the end when Sam says Rocky was out of control was dumb. How was Rocky out of control? It was Marty who was out of control. I don't know why Sam would say that and just throw his brother under the bus.
I think the police wanted to establish if he pushed him in a malicious (in control) manor or was out of control and it happened spontaneously. I think "out of control" would have been better for his defense.
