The next episode is called this, which makes it sound like they're going to have to give away a bit of the game to Chase. I think most likely they reveal that the guy who was supposed to be a prisoner was an actor. They can probably get away with this without tipping the rest-- it's such a far cry from that to thinking that everyone around you as an actor. Even in the first season, Matt suspected that the network executive might be an actor and admitted he wasn't anywhere close to figuring out the rest. It'll be interesting to see just how much of the game they give away.
(spoiler) After watching tonight's (Feb 5) episode, they'd be better served passing off the actor as Allison, and then giving Chase credit for figuring it out. They could call it a test at "recognizing a skip trying to blend in", etc.
Chase must've been suspicious that she didn't vote for Randy. If she cr*ps in his urn, you'd think she'd vote for him to be evicted. I know she's supposed to be in his alliance, but his alliance didn't vote together anyway. They should've told him ahead of time they were going after her instead.
You'd think they'd learn something from the previous seasons and from Chase's past behavior when things don't go right...when Matt got a vote for himself, he spent the aftermath trying to figure out the voting. Chase got a vote for himself tonight, and I'm sure that set him thinking. If they'd made that random vote for Randy, the he would've just assumed it was Allison on the warpath.
The actors in season 1 were WAY better at covering mistakes and keeping the Schmo's mind occupied. These actors just stand around dumbstruck.
Agreed 100% that season 1 actors were a lot better at covering things up. This year it comes off as totally awkward whenever something comes up that could find them out.
To be fair, the season 1 show runners didn't push the believability factor like these guys are. That makes it easier for the actors to make things believable if you aren't throwing a ton of crazy stuff like they are this year.
