Chase is clearly acting, the producers in their interviews are clearly acting.

shareThe producers ARE acting, in most of the 'oh bleep, he's on to us!' or 'oh bleep, we've taken it too far!' babble. There's waaaay too much of that crap. It's a ploy to heighten the suspense and up the anti of the basic premise of the show. I think maybe 10% of the producers 'freaking out' or actors interviewed saying they were worried about Chase being onto the 'Joe Schmo' premise is genuine when shot. The other 90% is footage created/acted for 'cut to commercial' benefit, etc.
