During the show scene where Alan meets with two aspiring musicians, there is a metal band playing on stage. I was wondering if anyone knows, first, if they are a real band, and if they are, then also, what is their band's name and where can I find more of their music?

Band is very real indeed. the song they are playing is called 'the stomp' and is available on the album called XXL.
