Just saw it. Definitely NOT for Kubrick fans. What a horrible, horrible movie! Totally unbearable outside of John Malkovich's performance. Not very well written or directed, the choice to use music from every Kubrick movie was kind of tacky, and thoughtless. The movie had no charm, nothing of any interest to Kubrick fans, movie fans, or anybody with a shred of intelligence. Sorry, just don't see it being worth anyone's time.

I love Kubrick's movies and I just saw this film. I liked it! Obviously it's not like Kubrick's movies, but it's really funny. Just watch it, it's only 86 minutes.

i am also a huge (american) kubrick fan, and i like this film. i find the running quotes of music from kubrick films to have good timing, too. malkovich is, of course, terrific - and i have to wonder...if only he had actually been in a kubrick film. stanley kubrick was a larger-than-life film icon, yet this somewhat light, whimsical film doesn't diminish the great director's stature. i'd recommend this movie to kubrick fans...if they see it in the "right" frame of mind.
