Fantastic performance by John Malkovich.

I thought John Malkovich acted his little heart out. He looked like he was having a ball with the accents and the outfits. What a shame the supporting cast let him down so badly.

The 2 guys in the opening scene were terrible actors and about as menacing as a big mac. Equally the 2 heavy metal band members couldn't act their way out of a paper bag. There were many other great actors in the film but what a shame the cast was so horribly inconsistent.

I thought that the best performance in the movie was by Jim Davidson as "Lee Pratt," the ridiculous wannabe Tom Jones. Aparently, Alan Conway really did manage to fool some semi-celebrity lounge singer (I forget the singer's real name) into thinking that he'd set up shows for him in Las Vegas.

Yes, Jim Davidson really stole the show. You can see in his eyes how he believes in Alan and dreams about hitting high on Vegas!

I especially love the moment when Conway says that setting Pratt up in Las Vegas won't be a problem, because "Moe Greene [fictional character from The Godfather] is a good friend of mine. The bright-eyed, gaping Pratt gasps "You know people like THAT!"

I enjoyed most of his accents except for that part with what seemed a Jewish accent. Unfortunately that one seemed to go on the longest. Other than that I loved the movie and would like to see more of Malkovich.

I thought it was hilarious to watch Malkovich channel Woody Allen (accent and intonations) in his scenes with Pratt, e.g. "oilieah, I was taahking to Ledderman." It was almost as funny as his attempt to sound macho with the punk group by doing a bad impression of Charlton Heston.

Those two actors in the opening scene weren't really supposed to be menacing. It was a send up of Clockwork Orange.

I loved John Malkovich it this .... I wish they would of had more scenes that referenced Kubrick's films, I know it's gimmicky but it was funny too!

I agree - John Malkovich is brilliant (was particularly funny when as "Kubrick" he said he was going feature John Malkovich as the star of the movie but he wasn't a big enough star, so he got Elizabeth Taylor, too.

If you're into UK comedy, there's a neverending list of funnymen. I was blown away by James Dreyfus in particular (got a bit chubby lately).

What a strange and fun movie.

I chose to watch this film based on the ShowTime blurb. The story sounded intriguing and John Malkovich was in it. I'm glad I saw it. It's a shame it didn't do better financially.
