And I was nauseated throughout.....First, the duke was so obnoxious & loud, then his stupid blabbermouth girlfriend even louder. These two just needed a beating, then that repulsive man in the diner with the egg yolk all over his mouth. I threw up when I saw it. Sienna Miller got on my nerves too with her orange skin. Hey, I'll admit. She has a nice body, but so, so overrated in the "hot" department. It's so weird...when this movie comes on now, almost 18 years later, I get taken back to that time & place when I was sick as a dog coming off heroin.

I have to admit I was laughing my ass off because I was reading your post out of context until the very end, where it became clear what you meant in your title by "kicking" & it wasn't just a guy randomly recalling a story of watching a movie while being sick.
Congratulations on quitting heroin though(assuming you were successful)

Congratulations you on kicking it!

That happens to me all of the time, I watch movies while I paint and when I see an old movie that I watched, I always remember where I was, how I felt and what I painted while watching it.

To a more extreme sense, I had a head injury and was in a coma as a child right after I had seen a children’s movie about a kid being abducted by aliens and taken into the future and I was convinced when I came out of the coma that is what had happened to me!

Movies must be stored in an interesting part of the brain, movies are something we ‘see’ and experience but they didn’t happen to us. So strange.
