Too many characters, too many twists, too many flashbacks, too much unintelligible dialogue--all too much to take in one sitting, and no real payback in terms of wit, drama or action to make it worth re-viewing to figure it all out.

Rubbish, this was a great movie. Perfectly intelligible, as well.

You may need to stick to cartoons if this movie was too much for you.

You being serious? Fair enough if you didn't enjoy it, but to say it was too complicated? Do yourself a favour and never watch a David Lynch film.
