Bizarro World Joey

I once posted this topic on this board, back when the show was on or had just been cancelled, but it's now gone -- IMDB must do periodic board-cleaning. I'm re-posting now because I still think it's an interesting idea.

Anyway, all of these questions about "why weren't the other Friends mentioned" and how the always-poor Joey we know from "Friends" could afford to move to LA, buy a big house, and live in luxury, and etc -- all of these questions can be answered by my theory: That the series "Joey" is about the Bizarro World Joey we glimpsed in that "alternate reality" episode of "Friends."

I've by no means watched every episode of "Friends," the several I've watched have only been because my wife's a fan, but I have seen the one where it's set in this alternate world -- and in it Joey is a super-successful actor, rich, all that stuff. In fact I think it's that episode where he hires Chandler to become his assistant.

I'm convinced it's THIS Joey who is the character featured in the series "Joey."

If anything, this theory at least makes the series more entertaining -- making yourself think it's set in some alternate universe.
