Who would you have rather seen as Alfie??

I'd say Leo DiCaprio. I've always had a crush on him and he reminds me of a hotter version of Jude. I would've killed to see him play alfie.

I've thought about this for several days.

Who would I have rather seen as Alfie? Nobody else comes to mind.

Disagree on Leo being a "hotter version" of Jude.

He's an illusionist...which is just a fancy word for magician.

Danny Dyer!!!!!

reply

Leo...no way in my honest opinion. But, I am a die hard Jude fan, so no one else could play this role. Leo is good, but I don't find him half as attractive as Jude.

reply

no jude law was definetly, definetly the best choice

reply

marky marky !! would have been a disaster

reply

Anyone british. I get that he suits the role well but as a brit I just cringed every time he said "Know what I mean?".

reply

You mean the phrase itself or the way he said it?

You're supposed to be the leading lady in your own life, for God's sake!

reply

But...Jude Law IS British. At least, I was pretty sure he was.

reply

I could definitely see Leo playing Alfie, along with Clive Owen, and possibly Eric Bana. But, I love Jude's take on Alfie too much to say he should be replaced.

XO :)

reply

I can't picture any other Alfie than Jude

Leo got his "Alfie moment" in Catch Me If You Can. (fake) airline pilot talking shyte and pulling many women. Some guys cheered him on in the audience no doubt =)

reply

Jude Law is incredibly sexy.

reply

Jude was perfect for the role.

reply

Jude Law makes a great and sexy womanizer, he did the role of Alfie extremely well.

I love you Arnold

reply

Jude Law was perfect for the role. Josh Hartnett may also would have worked.

reply

Michael Caine!!! ;-)

All other IMO suitable actors (Peter Cook, John Castle, Malcolm McDowell, Lewis Collins, Jon Finch,...) are now too old or unfortunately even dead, the would have had to play Alfie in the 60's or early 70's but back then Caine was fantastic.
