not only this,A Wednesday is also out of the list suddenly
may be regular voters has would have changed their votes

I think is a mistake or Imdb change the number of regular voters but why this two movie to be affected ?!

Exactly what i am wondering too.... how could this movie disappear so fast from Top250? I have never seen such a huge drop at once before...

They must have changed the rules for regular voters in a way particullary olanned to hurt Indian films. Such adramatic drop only happens to new films that get thousands of votes every day, but having two high rated films drop over 50 places until their dissapearance in a single day without any other film being affected is shady.

Maybe the high ratings for A Wednesday and Munna Bhai MBBS were reached by ballot stuffing by Indian voters. The two films had already been falling steadily over the last few months as they gathered more and more votes......IMDb must have changed their criteria altogether.

That seems to be the case, yes. The Turkish film Eskiya (1996) dropped out today (two days later). My guess is they're simply ineligible for lack of votes that count toward the top 250.

Don't listen to the negative ones; their arguments are irrational.

I found an explanation on a FAQ webpage here:
But how do you explain that the rating on the film has changed even though the total number of votes did not?
There are several explanations for this. First, users are allowed to delete their vote. So if the rating changes even when the total doesn't, it usually means that some people have deleted their vote while the same number of people have added theirs.
Another common explanation is that the weight assigned to votes cast by certain users has changed, so the weighted rating will be affected even when no new votes have been cast.
Finally, please remember that our voting system is always being improved and the formulas used to calculate ratings (and defeat ballot stuffing) are tweaked regularly -- weighted ratings are computed daily, so when the formula is changed the ratings will also change even without new votes.

Btw, if you find it interesting, any thoughts on this question? :)

Definitely a change to the voting system to fight ballot stuffing. You can't blame the IMDB admins, lots of this indian movies only appeared on the top 250 because of a sudden influx of high votes just to get them there, not because they are amazing movies.

Now, I´m glad I was able to know them because of the top 250, I saw all of them and they were good, but not amazing.
