You do realise that article was published before Episode One came out? There's a good chance someone else will die in Episode Three, but its entirely possible that was just referring to Eli.

Not necessarily. If you are hiding whether or not its one or more, then you'd still use the plural. If he said "character" then everyone would already know that no characters would die in episode three.

I found the end of Ep2 quite a shock, I didn't expect it at all, I sort of suspected that somebody would be sacrificed for the story but I kind of forgot it in the heat of the moment after the Strider/Hunter battle - one of the best game end fights I think I've ever seen in 30 yrs of gaming. I suppose I thought it might of been something that would happen in Ep 3, who knows were we will end up.
Just bloddy well release the damn game - or at least give a hint of when we'll see it.

I thought that "more characters will die" was referring to all the combine you kill or all of your squad members that get shot in City 17, not a MAIN character!!!

That was a pretty daft assumption. It's an action game! How interesting would it be if you didn't get to kill any enemies in the whole game?
