Every perp knows that, the minute you allow a police officer into your dwelling, you have CONSENTED to a search of that dwelling. I have no criminal record in over sixty years of life and yet I know this.

When a policeman has visited me I have left my dwelling and closed the door behind me.

This model fires a shotgun on an empty chamber. And then -- ALL OF A SUDDEN - knows how to work the slide and get that shotgun up and running.

Firearms can be gotten right by hiring a consultant. The only movie I have ever seen that got firearms RIGHT was a movie called "Dog Soldiers".

I get this sense of lack of respect for the audience. I get the unspoken message: If you're watching a movie, like this, you are either a kid or a cultist and we can take liberties and shortcuts with you.

Not really trying to argue with you here. To be fair though. Gary showed her how the shotgun works after she fires on an empty chamber. After she gets the shotgun back, she then knows she has to pump it first. She even thanks him "for the lesson" before she leaves.
