Did anyone think the same after watching it?
shareThe first time I saw it, about 5 years ago, I really liked it and found it profound. (10/10)
I saw it again last night and was distressed by so many instances of pain for pain's sake. (6/10)
You would have to be exceptionally cynical - even more so than me - to get nothing out of this film. I have nothing but disdain for religion but found this a nice allegory told in simple strokes, and of course visually very beautiful.
Pity about the last section (Spring again), which was odious and, for narrative purposes, completely unnecessary.
