Trey Parker and Matt Stone at their very best.
It's no secret that these 2 have lost their edge since Trump got elected and PC culture is 10 times worst than back in 2004. They could never make a movie like this again.
What a unique and amazing movie. I love the retro style puppets without hiding the wires and shortcomings. The music is absolutely brilliant, even if the montage song was rehashed from the South Park "Asspen" episode. The "Freedom isn't free" song was a perfect parody of the country patriotic songs that were popular after 9/11. Making political celebrities join the terrorists and get shot by the heroes took a lot of balls.
Watching it now made me very nostalgic of the post 9/11 era when you could still make fun of everything and call terrorists what they are.
