Distracting detail
Ewan McGregor's character ("Sam") either wore pants that were too short or wore no socks. Was there any meaning or purpose to that? I found that part annoying.

shareMy understanding is that the perspective Henry had of Sam post-accident was when Sam was crouchng down leaning over him so when he was in his half-dead imaginary world, the Sam he saw had pants too short, the same length they would be if he was crouching down.
shareBloomfisher is correct.
Sam Foster: You burned yourself? Why?share
Henry Letham: Practicing for hell.

Are you serious? or it is just like the other post were you say that you heard a white boy Chinese?

These things may be true, but also, did you notice that every jacket or sweater tha Ewan wore was also short and tight, and also sometimes short in the sleeves, like he was wearing someone else's clothes, perhaps that of a teenage boy. I found it very distracting, too. I heard the director or someone on the commentary say that remark about the crouching on the bridge visual image, but it wouldn't explain the sweater details.
shareA figure having missing or unclear feet could be interpreted to be poorly grounded or not in touch with reality. An additional meaning of the short pants and lack of socks may be that Henry, who is dreaming the sequence, is losing touch with the world as he dies.
