Just saw 'Resident Evil: Afterlife'

Holy crap, that movie made me appreciate this movie so much more. The Resident Evil garbagefest had double the budget of this movie but looked worse and less realistic most of the time and had none of the graphic design/color flair or eye-catching action scene choreography. Ultraviolet wasn't brilliant, but compared to Milla's more successful franchise it's Shakespeare. Not to mention this latest R.E. flick ripped off the Blood Chinois sunglasses reflection schtick for one scene (completely pointlessly).

Just because Resident Evil: Afterlife was crap, doesn't mean Ultraviolet wasn't.

As I mentioned, I thought the choreography and graphic design and bold color schemes in Ultraviolet were interesting. The story was crap, but Wimmer's visual creativity kept me interested in Ultraviolet whereas Resident Evil: Afterlife had little to no originality of any kind.
