Three Wise Monkeys

I'm watching this movie, recorded this evening - like some sort of self-imposed torture, goodness knows why.

Maybe this is mentioned elsewhere, but I can't bring myself to read every single thread on this poor excuse for film-making.

However, when Daxus is confronted by Nerva and his 3 henchmen, Daxus shoots the 3 men, one in the MOTH, one in the EYE and one in the EAR, obviously referring to the Three Wise Monkeys. now, I haven't watched the whole movie at this point but I struggle to see the point of that scene. Is it supposed to be amusing or do the writers and/or director think it refers to some plot point? Frankly, it just seems absolutely pointless.

Much like the rest of the movie then.

It did seem odd, no reason that I can see for that scene

did you also watch it on film4

It does seem kinda pointless since, unless you've got special curved bullet trajectories like in "Wanted", a bullet *straight* into the mouth won't kill you, and especially one that shoots your *outer* ear.

"You know, Burke, I don't know which species is worse."

The point was to show, how precise and quick he really was, which hinted at him being a hemophage.
