Lighten up people!

I'm reading some comments, mainly about the little boy who was speaking in a MEXICAN accent. And I emphasize the word MEXICAN because some people on here seem to think that Spanish speaking people are Spanish. And if any of these people had an ounce of intelligence in them, they would know that Spanish people aren't the only ones who speak Spanish. Spanish people come from Spain, they speak SPANISH. Mexican people come from Mexico, they speak..omg SPANISH!

I don't see what the problem is with the boy speaking in a mexican accent. It's a comedy! Yes, one of the reasons was probably to show that Dick and Jane were very busy with work and hardly raised him themselves, but it's also supposed to be FUNNY. It's supposed to be out of the ordinary, an American boy...a Caucasian American boy speaking Spanish, while it's not something that happens in every household, it's not impossible therefore it wouldn't be funny. Now you add a permanent mexican or any other foreign accent, and it's funny! It could be an African accent, a French, German..whatever. He's still an American boy, living in America with American parents so him speaking in another accent would be funny.

We are supposed to feel a little sorry for Dick and Jane, but it's still funny. In real life, yes it would be messed up especially because they have a son. But it's not real life and it's not supposed to be a drama or a sympathetic lifetime movie. And I'm saying this because I read someone's post who seemed upset by the fact that Dick and Jane turned to a life a crime, having a son and all. If Dick and Jane didn't turn to a life of crime..there would be no movie! Atleast not a very funny one. Laugh people, it's a comedy..it doesn't have to make sense.
