'would you rather eat celery or a brownie?'- WTH?
This line in the movie was really kinda pathetic. I don't really get it either.

i think its meant to be a metaphor on guys and how they can be shallow, eg shallow guys prefer celery coz they want skinny girls and nice guys prefer brownie coz they like natural girls. I dont think that really works though, its just a bed metaphor thats meant to make girls feel good about themselves
shareThe movie had no other way to address the fat issue so they made up some lame metaphor in order to make overweight girls feel better about themselves without actually saying anything at all.
This movie was almost sadistic to overweight people.
That was lame. They were just telling the fat girl she should date fat guys.
I thought the line meant just that. Would you rather eat a celery or a brownie? You have a choice of what you would rather eat and these girls all liked brownies! Why force yourself to eat something you don't like?

Haha yeah I think it's what Jayemdae_Tome said. Although it is a little sad that Julie would assume she'd pick brownies.
sharei really liked the line, i loved the peter thing, i loved the movie. and i'm a fatty. i would imagine it was to make big girls feel good about themselves which isn't a bad thing and it worked for me.
shareYeah it was just a funny little line.
Cause 90% of the skinny girls would probably pick brownies too. I know I would, lol.
I guess I'll cut my losses, and turn my tricks at the magic show..

That line was totally inappropiate! It should've went like this:
SCOUT TAYLOR-COMPTON: Yancy, if you want to McDonald's, would you rather order a salad or Big Mac?
YANCY: Both.
SCOUT TAYLOR-COMPTON: Then you should ONLY date guys who like both as well.
i hope it's going to make you notice... someone like me.
Ooh I like your line better!! ^^^
