shareWhat sort of plotline? The Royal Baby? There would need to be a great story to make a third movie.
The first was good, and I think the second was better, funnier, but if there is to be a third I don't want it to be stupid. Besides, I think Anne and Chris have moved on anyway.
I want to see Nicholas and Mia to get married.

If Michael came back and she had to choose between them. That would be an interesting plot. If she had to choose, who do you guys think she'd pick?
Or another plot idea: Genovia (sp?) gets attacked and she has to figure out what to do :P It'll showcase her leadership skills. :P

but I dubt anne will return so either it has to be a spinoff or adiffrent acress.
lol yeaa i dont think this will ever happen. a plotline would be difficult. most importantly, anne would probably rejext this offer. c'mon shes taking more adult roles and got nominated for an oscar this year. and chris pine is like a huge movie star now w/ star trek.

1. The first one sucked.
2. The second sucked far more.
3. I don't even wanna imagine how bad the third one would suck, lest I be kept up at night for weeks thinking about it the suckage level.
4. No one wants to see "Mia's" big, nasty face no more. At the very least, they could include an actress that is actually attractive AND looks like Mia.
Remember, Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did but backwards and in high heels.
AGREED. While I think Anne is attractive in her own way, she has zero resemblance to the character. A part of me dies every time these movies come on TV.
If they weren't "based on" the books then I might appreciate and even enjoy the movies (well, the first one at least). Honestly, why couldn't Disney just come up with their own princess? Now there's a whole generation of preteens who think The Princess Diaries are actually G-rated.
It could be called Princess Diaries: The Royal Family or something. Where in the beginning Mia and Nicholas are getting married and then they start family and all.
shareurgh. that just sounds like it would be the Prince & Me 3. I didn't watch it, but I read the blurb in the dvd store and shuddered. the Prince & Me 2 was pretty awful as well. (I can barely tolerate the first)
At least they kept the same actors in PD 2.
It would be nice to see Julie and Annie together again, but I think if they do a sequel it might just ruin the nice feeling from the end of PD2 and leave a bad taste in your mouth.
You know how Shrek did Shrek the Halls? Perhaps they could do a Christmas special or something. It doesn't have to be a cinema release...
A while back, I forgot what magazine this was in, but it said that they may come out with PD3: Royal Wedding, but that was a couple years ago.

I would love to see a 3rd also, just to see what happens to the characters. But unfortunatly Chris and Anne are now "too big" to do a Disney movie.

I think if a Princess Diaries 3 would have been done, it should have been released in 2007, but I know that Anne Hathaway has stated that she will not return for a 3rd film and I don't blame her since she is now too old to play Mia Thermopolis again.
shareJust watched the movie (3'rd time) and thought the same. They could call it 'Queen's Diaries' this time. It should feature Mia's rule, with Anne Hathaway, Chris Pine, Julie Andrews and Hector Elizondo again too. Most of other characters (except Lord Poston) could appear too and feature new ones. IDK, maybe it would work really good. Why not? The story has great ending, but it wouldn't be silly to make a sequel. Cast is really charming together.
