True or False: National Treasure is an excellent film and by far the greatest Nicolas Cage film ever.

If you say False and disagree, what is the greatest Nicolas Cage film and why?

Love this movie but false. I'd have to go with face/off.

I'd say true and false.

True that National Treasure is a great movie but false that it is Nic Cage's greatest film.

It would be hard for me to pick one as his "greatest," but it wouldn't be Face/Off. Don't get me wrong, I love Face/Off, but even just taking Nic's action movies into account I think The Rock is better.

He's been in some classics, so I don't think I can call it his best film ever. However this movie is one of my favorites of his.

Agree. I don't like him for the most part, he's a good actor, he just annoys me for no real reason, but badly. So there are only a few movies where I find him tolerable and these are two of them.

Damn near agree! And the two opinions are not contradictory!

Seriously, if Cage hadn't made "Raising Arizona", a genuinely terrific film, this might indeed have been the best movie he ever made. But saying "Best Cage movie outside of 'RA' ", isn't necessarily a compliment.
