My personal experience with Elizabethtown

Few movies meet you just in the right time in your life. Elizabethtown is one of them.
The first time I watched Elizabethtown, it was three-four days after a big failure at work (but no fiasco LOL). I felt deeply depressed and craved solitude, wishing people would leave me alone. It happened to be airing on TV, and I knew nothing about the storyline. I didn't bother to check either.

I can honestly say that it felt like they made this movie just for me. I could relate entirely to what Drew was going through - the feelings of failure, shame, self-flagellation, and the endless loop of negative thoughts. What made this movie even more powerful was the 'medicine' they gave Drew to help him cope with his situation - the advice that not only helped me but, I believe, others too, in dealing with failure in a healthier way. Most of all, it managed to inspire hope and optimism, which were exactly what I needed at that moment.

It almost a miracle, I didn't looking for this film, and still it was in TV, days after my failure at work. I can't think of any other movie similar to this specific experience.
