Special Edition DVD with audio CD???

okay so in another topic i was reading about how some people on the other side of the pond scored a special edition dvd that came with an audio cd. Anybody have a link to where I could get this...or anything. Also what is the cd? I was in Los Angeles and was at tower records and I found a daft punk cd called: Daft Club, its basically a bunch of their songs remixed by others like Basement Jaxx (who are awesome....'cept kish kash wask inda weak) and Neptunes and others. So I was wondering if that is the cd that came with this special edition dvd....I have also heard that Daft Punk has an Essentials Mix out. Its like the cd that Fatboy Slim and Paul Oakenfold did. and FBS's essential mix was like him tweaking things from The Chemical Brothers, Underworld, Groove Armada, Metaforce and Mr. X & Mr. Y (if anytone has any idea of what i am talking about), and its all continious....if this cd does exist and anyone knows where I cna get it lemme know. But somone let me know what cd came with this special editin DVD

The CD is a bunch of remixes, mostly from the Discovery album. It's well worth seeking out.

Yep, it's the Daft Club cd that you get with the SE.

@MaddJester - The Essential Mix from Daft Punk is basically what got be into DJ'ing!!! It's them on the BBC Radio show "Essential Mix" hosted by DJ Pete Tong circa 1997. They're on the decks for 2 hours spinning house music that has inspired them to create their own sounds (mostly early chicago house and some of their acquaintances like Armand Van Helden, Green Velvet, Paul Johnson, Kenny Dixon Jr.). You can find it on some of those P2P programs, and it's worth the download. I've seen some boots on ebay if one is too lazy to DL it. Hope this helps you out!!!

Does anyone have the show the daft punk did in (december?)1997 on the essential mix that they could host online or tell me how to get?? I would love to hear it but im fairly computer illiterate!

I bought my Special Edition (DVD with remix CD) 2.5 years ago, in a retail shop. The remix CD is awesome, and I think its waay better than their "Human After All" material. I'm still listening to it after all these years.

Btw the back blurb is written in English and French, and the Region coding is multi... it shows that its compatible with Regions 1 thru to 6. I'm guessing this means that it is Region 0.

I really wouldn't bother trying to get hold of the Discovery remix cd, known as "Daft Club" To quote a review I once read, "it's much like watching a loved one being physically dismembered in front of you." - Human After All is out in a couple of months though which will definitely be worth a listen.

My boyfriend got his dvd/cd set in England.

I got it, but the remix CD sucks.

agreed. the only real reason to buy the special edition is just to say that you have it. the cd is subpar at best and i think it makes a mess of a great deal of daft punk's otherwise fantastic songs.

The Remix disc rules. I bought mine from the a store, I think it was Music City. I did not realize it was so special. Maybe some store could special order it for you

I think I had a dream like this once, but I don't know. I might have just been drunk
