Songs you wish the show had used.

Not necessarily the ones you think would fit better in some particular episode, simply the songs you wish were in the show, probably in an end sequence. Let's concentrate on the ones that had already existed before the show got canceled.
My list is:
Time of Your Life by Green Day
Blood by Middle East
Bubbly by Colbie Caillat
I don't see them fitting in any particular episode but I think that the writers could have made some good episodes with a touching endings-endings that would have that songs playing in the background.
If you are not sure had the song you have in mind been used, simple googling "Cold case (name of the song)" will do.

I wish Cold Case had used some Beatles songs but they may not have had the rights (though there was an episode with John Lennon solo songs). I think it would have been great if they had a episode that used only Beatles songs and was set during Beatlemania (a young fan gets murdered). Yesterday could be the ending song.

Speaking of Green Day, I think Boulevard of Broken Dreams would have been a great ending song too. It only came out in 2004 (I thought it was earlier) so it would have had to be an episode set in the recent past.

On 8 years, the Springsteen episode, I wish they would have used "born to run" and "the streets of Philadelphia". Born to run is all about escaping a deadend town with someone you love. It would have fit the premise. The streets of Philadelphia could've been used as well but maybe not fit the plot as well on this episode. Also I'm surprised they never used Badlands, as in there is an area in philly called the badlands.

Goodbye Philadelphia by Peter Cincotti. That would've been perfect.

Hawkeye: Do you know how it feels to be unmade?
The Avengers

I was recently listening to In the Air Tonight by Phil Collins and was surprised that it wasn't used as a Cold Case ending song. Not only is the tune perfect but some off the lyrics refer to somebody being caught doing something bad which really fits with the concept of the show.

"Well I was there and I saw what you did, I saw it with my own two eyes
So you can wipe off that grin, I know where you've been
It's all been a pack of lies"
