Can't Wait!

I recently read in TV Guide, that this show should appear during Christmas time on TV. I also heard that there is going to be a special Thanksgiving Vacation to air on TV. Although it does not look like Beverly D' Angelo or Chevy Chase is going to appear in this one. I haven't heard about Chevy lately or what he is doing. I can't wait to see this one on TV! I will post an update when I know a definite time and network. I am sure that it is going to be aroung Christmas time this year!

I'll watch this only because Randy Quaid is just so fantastic as cousin Eddie. Other than that I'm not expecting too much. And there's no way this will be anywhere near as good as Christmas Vacation (1989).

It will probably hard not to try and compare it to the other movies though if you are a fan of Randy Quaids Cousin Eddie character it should at least be worth watching. It is hard to top the Original Christmas Vacation that had a large star cast and had a big theatrical release. I imagine for some people they may feel let down that this is a tv movie and that already may indicate it won't be as good as any of the others. Only time will tell and I really am not going to be that let down even if it isn't as good as the other movies. I am still happy that they have brought Eddie back with his own tv movie.

i'm not holding out too much hope for this one, but i will watch it out of curiosity and because Randy Quaid is absolutely hilarious in anything he does, even Cousin Eddie. Hopefully that will be good enough for me!

ajwebb, 50min in, are you stil so enthusiastic? I knew this was gonna blow the second I heard about it. To quote Ian Malcolm, "God do I hate being right all the time."

What a pile of dog turds. I watched just because my view on sequels is that as bad as they are, I still maintain a level of interest in what happens to the characters after the credits roll in their original movies... well, these characters must have slipped on the ice and suffered serious brain damage because this was the biggest waste of time of my life. Halfway through, I switched over to ABC's "The Santa Clause" -- which is probably the best Christmas comedy since Christmas Vacation.

No Chevy Chase/Clark Griswold = Not a Vacation movie.

It was like Gilligan's Island and every other carbon copy of that show...

Damn you to hell, National Lampoon... Van Wilder was decent, Vegas Vacation was even enjoyable (just because it was the Griswolds) -- this is just... very. very wrong. It's sort of like remaking It's A Wonderful Life and casting Adam Sandler as Jimmy Stewart's character...

This show turned out OK. It was nothing like what I was expecting. I was in a way depressed that the story was this awful. I would of expected them to make a better story, but that did not happen at all.
